LDSAMRA - Winter Mountain Rescue in Snow

What We Do

Mountain rescue teams are called out through the police, via the 999 system, to assist the statutory services – police, fire and ambulance. They also work with the Air Ambulance and HM Coastguard helicopters as well as the search and rescue dog associations and cave rescue.

LDSAMRA helps to channel communications to team members, teams and the national body. We also help to coordinate between the teams to the benefit of everyone, learning from our shared experiences.

We are one of the busiest regions in the UK and support the parent body, Mountain Rescue England and Wales.
